People have been asking me to blog and post what i've preached the other day .
Purpose of Life (:

What on Earth are we here for .
Firstly it all starts with God.
It’s not all about us.
And the purpose of our life is far greater than our own personal fulfillment, peace of mind, or even our happiness. If we really want to know why we are placed on this planet, we all must begin with God. We were born by his purpose and for his purpose .
Many people has been searching for the purpose of life and it also has puzzled many people for many years. Because why ? We’re typically beginning at the wrong starting point which is ourselves. We always ask self centered questions like, "what do I want to be?" "What should I do with MY life?" "what are MY goals?" "what are MY ambitions, my dreams, my future?"
However we have NEVER thought and ask questions like "what do GOD want me to be?" "what is GOD doing with my life?" "what are my goals to GOD?" "what did GOD set for me, my dreams, my future and my ambitions?"

By focusing on ourseleves will NEVER reveal on our life’s purpose.
The Bible says " It is God who directs the lives of his creatures; everyone’s life is in HIS power."
We won’t discover our life’s meaning by looking within ourself. Why? Cause we did not create ourselves so there was no way we can tell ourselves what we were created for. If i were to hand you an invention that you have never seen it before in your life, you wouldn’t know it’s purpose and how it works.
The invention itself wouldn’t be able to tell you either. Then who would reveal the purpose of this invention?

The only person whom can reveal this invention is the creator of this invention or the owner’s manual.
Example; I once got lost in the mountains and started asking for directions to the other side. I stopped by at someone and asked how to get to the other side but i was told "You can never get there from here, You must start from the other side of the mountain."
Same thing as we cannot arrive at our life’s purpose by starting a focus on ourselves.
But, we must begin with God, our Creator.
We exist only because God wills that you exist.
You were made by God and for God.
And untill you understand that, life will never make sense.
It is only in God that we discover our origin, our identity, our purposes and meaning.

Our significance, and also our destiny.
If you have tried any other means, it’ll only lead you to an dead end :)
We were made for God and not otherwise.
Life is about letting God use you for his purposes and not you using him for your own purposes. The bible says " obsessions with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life."
We’ve often hear and figure out what we’re good at, and clarify our values.
We set goals and we aim high.
We believe we can achieve and be discipline to never give up.
Of course, all these are often good and lead great successes.
We usually succeed in reaching a goal if we put our mind and soul into it.
However, being successful and fulfilling our life’s purposes are not at all the same issue.
We could all reach our personal goals and becoming a raving success by the world’s standard and still miss the purposes for which God created us.

Jesus Christ once said, "self help is no help at all. Self sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self."
Knowing your purpose will allow you to do less in life, by focusing on what matters most.

It is about becoming what God created you to be. Well, How, then, do we discover the purpose we are created for?
You have only two options for this.
And your first option is; Speculation.
Speculation is where most people are.

They just guess or speculate the purpose of life. When someone says "I’ve always thought the purpose of life is ..." actually what they’re really saying is that "This is the best guess what i can really come up with"
There is better alternative to speculation about the meaning and purpose of life.

The easiest way to discover the purpose of an invention is to ask the creator to explain it.
Which is also the same method that works for discovering your life’s purposes.
We can always find what God, our Creator, has revealed about life in his Word which also means the Bible. Revelation beats spevulation anyday.
God has not left us in the dark to wonder and guess. (Why?) – Cause he has clearly revealed his five purposes for our lives, through the Bible ( if you have read, if not go home and read bout it :) )
It is our Owner’s Manual explaining why are we alive, how life works, what to avoid and what to expect in the future. It explains what no self help or philosophy book could know. "God’s wisdom, goes deep into the interior of his purposes, it’s not the latest message, but more like the oldest.

God is just no a starting point of your life, but he is the source of it.
To find out the purpose of life we must turn to God’s Word not the world’s best guesses.
You must build you life on unchanging, eternal truths, not the everchanging opinions of talk shows, pop psychology fads, success motivation seminars.
Bible says "It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eyes on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone."

Through this verse we can point our 3 insights into your purpose.
First, discover your identity and purpose through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Second, God was thinking of you long before you ever thought about him.
His purpose for your life predates your conception. He planned it all before you even existed without your input. You may choose your career, your spouse, your hobbies, and many other parts of your life but you don’t get to choose your purpose.
Thirdly, the purpose of your life fits into a much larger, cosmic purpose that God has designed for eternity.

He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth." John 14:17
I think most of us wish the Holy Spirit led us into all comfort. We might even settle for partial truth. But all truth? Most of us would rather surround ourselves with people who will simply validate what we falsely believe about ourselves. That isn't the Holy Spirit. Like a good counselor, He'll take you places you don't want to go so you can get where He wants you to go. He'll reveal things you don't want to know so you can become who He wants you to be.
I think many of us get frustrated at times because it seems like God is silent. Here's a thought: if you cannot hear the voice of God maybe it's because you aren't willing to hear everything He has to say?
You can't tune out His convicting voice and still hear His guiding voice or wise voice or comforting voice. You cannot listen to half of what the Holy Spirit has to say. It's a package deal. If you tune out His convicting voice you won't hear anything He has to say.
